Environmental Field Testing

Environmental noise projects involve unique and varied issues.
ASI understands that no two projects should be treated the same.

Field Work

ASI engineers and technicians travel to the site to identify the existing noise conditions that are causing issues. While on site, acoustical data is collected on all potential noise sources including frequency data (OBA & FFT) and continuous 24/7 noise sampling. ASI also meets with concerned parties regarding the project, including city/state representatives and local neighbors as needed.

Data Analysis

Analysis of data includes documenting existing environment noise conditions. The contribution of each individual noise source is quantified to identify which noise sources are predominant. This is often done by reviewing acoustical data at each noise source and comparing it to data collected at specific locations on and off site. Environmental noise regulations including applicable city/state noise ordinances are used to assess compliance and to develop a goal for future environmental noise emissions.

Real World Solutions

Unique solutions are usually required for noise issues. Cookie cutter solutions may not have the stated and desired effect. ASI’s custom designs and solutions tackle crucial variables and fix noise issues the first time around. Recommendations include predicted noise reduction and budgetary cost for itemized noise mitigation solutions.
